I don't think you can pull the same trick/magic two years in a row.
Thomson is average as a tactical manager, and I don't think it's a Girardi situation like last year.
Problem is superstars not producing and Dombrowski failing to address depth in the offseason.
They'll think it can be like last year, when the Phillies puttered all summer and then nabbed the #3 wild card. Nobody in the NL is running away with the 2nd and 3rd wild cards. So playing trash baseball isn't yet anywhere near fatal for this team's hopes.

Out of all three. Walker, Turner, and Harrison. It's Walker's inconsistancy that scares me the most.

Trae Turner has underperformed for sure, but I am not worried one bit about him long term. He's too good and too young and too healthy for his contract to be considered an albatross. We have big problems but he is not one of them.

Time will tell, but he had a big drop off last year vs the prior 2 years - so this could be a trend
