All in all, we can't complain about anything that's actually a win these days.
They didn't "beat" a good pitcher, but they hung in there until he left.
Stars to Walker and Stott.

Seems like even mediocre pitchers baffle this offense. Turner still shows me nothing. Why is he still at the top of the order?Christopher wrote: ↑Sun May 21, 2023 8:16 pm All in all, we can't complain about anything that's actually a win these days.

We need to resign ourselves that they're going to give Turner a year's worth of time to get going.
I don't even know how I'd construct this lineup right now.
Maybe time to let Marsh lead off?

He has not been hitting at all, but is getting walks - so worth a shotChristopher wrote: ↑Sun May 21, 2023 8:24 pm We need to resign ourselves that they're going to give Turner a year's worth of time to get going.

Is ANYONE hitting, besides Bryce (and Nick with men on base)?

Syndergaard has a 5.88 ERA
Rodon is probably out for the year
Taillon has an 8.10 ERA
As much as I criticize the Phillies for not adding pitching depth, there simply wasn't much to add.
The only two good signings seem to have been Eflin and Eovaldi. It would take a lot of revisionist history for any of us to say with a straight face that they wanted them last winter.
