As much as I criticize the Phillies for not adding pitching depth, there simply wasn't much to add.

The only two good signings seem to have been Eflin and Eovaldi. It would take a lot of revisionist history for any of us to say with a straight face that they wanted them last winter.
Kyle Gibson says hi.....

OK, you can plausibly say that some people were pro-Eovaldi, and that a few were in favor of extending Eflin for multiple years.

But NOBODY wanted Kyle Gibson back. Also, his regression to the norm is already well under way.

I knew you were being sarcastic.

The problem is this: Part of me actually THINKS that Phillies should have retained Gibson. He would have been better than Falter.

Which would have helped more?

Kimbrel 1/10
Gibson 1/10

Why wouldn’t the kick the tires on Aaron Hicks?..Yankees owe him $30+k…Sign him, after he clears waivers, for the minimum
Switch hitter.1000% better defensively than both Schwarber or Nick.
Why not?

He has been garbage at the plate for a few years now.

You are correct. Ironically, over the last week,He has started to hit,and as I said, his defense and arm are miles ahead of Schwarber and Castellanos…For the MLB minimum, where’s the downside?

None, I guess as Guthrie sucks too.
