Hmm. Who could have imagined this would happen pitching some dude named Covey vs the Atlanta Braves.

The way the Phillies approach each at bat is in stark contrast to the way the Braves approach each at bat.

The Phillies are swinging out of their shoes trying to hit every pitch over the wall and the Braves are just putting the ball in play while turning on mistake pitches.

Braves CF does what the Phillies CF could not do, even though he was there.

This is why yesterday was a must-win.
It was always a 0.0% chance of winning this one.

But, hey, Gibson and Eflin are doing fine.

They got a split in Atlanta, which is an accomplishment, but to close out the series with that just leaves a bad taste. That was a beatdown.

PHILLIES vs. METS
Tuesday: Ranger Suarez vs. Kodai Senga
Wednesday: Aaron Nola vs. Carlos Carrasco
Thursday: Taijuan Walker vs. Max Scherzer

One again, Nola gives us the best matchup in a series. He must come through to give us the best shot at winning this series.

Senga walks a ton of guys but also strikes out 11.4 per nine innings. Have to have a good approach vs. him.

Also, Muck the Fets.

1-9 in games started by the 5th starter

Shocked that they actually won one
