2023 NBA Draft 6/22/23

No first round pick (Harden)
No 2nd round pick (Morey's stupidity with tampering and trades), though I guess they could trade for one

It's utterly inexcusable that this organization finds itself again with draft picks and locked into the salary cap to the point where even their exceptions could be taken away when they get into that 2nd luxury tax level with a Harden deal.

Buying 2nd Rd picks and hoping to have Miami Heat luck with UDFAs ain't the way to build a title team.

I have never missed an NBA draft in my entire adult life, hell, going back to 10-11 years old. This is what Daryl Morey has done to this team.

Seen some tweets that some of these UDFAs have a shot to be something (eventually)

Any thoughts?

Ricky Council and Terquavion Smith were well thought of. Both were thought be get drafted early 2nd. For me? I'd wish there were 6-8 and 6-6, as it is, they're 6-6 and 6-4. They're both very athletic and bouncey. They need to play a lot of G League games then they just need to be thrown in games, something Rivers was loathe to do with Reed, Springer and others.

Bagley is a project but he's at least 6-8 and athletic. I don't see Azuolas Tubelis doing much for quite some time, if at all. He's a kid who could use a Euro stash for 2-3 years to get stronger. He can't guard other bigs on the perimeter. He's a walking blow by.
