Our 2024 rotation at the moment is a trio of #3's (Walker, Wheeler, Suarez), with nothing at the top and zero depth. Big issue.

I have more confidence in Wheeler bouncing back than Nola being worth the money.

Not that atypical for pitchers that pitcher well into the playoffs to have a not great year after.

27 runners thrown out on the base paths ..just incredible. Gotta be the slowest, worst defensive and fundamentally unsound team in MLB

I wasn't say that for advocating to keep Nola (we'd shouldn't).
Just saying we're going to need a couple miracles to have a rotation that can get us to October and maybe win there.
Painter & Abel will both -- in best case scenario -- be on innings counts next year, probably in the 120 range.

Wake up the moribund Mets. Great fucking idea.
I have other ways to spend the rest of my Sunday.

If it weren't for that third wildcard, I would be 100% on board with sell baby sell. Too much dead weight to be any thing other than a .500 team

Probably shouldn't have underestimated how shitty the Mets truly are.

Tie game with the bases loaded
