I guess Phillies are taking opportunity to give Nola & Wheeler their only long break of the year, but using Sanchez the first game out of the break when you could use anyone seems unnecessary.

Next 13 games are trickier than they might have once looked.
San Diego still dangerous
Milwaukee is not bad
Cleveland is no pushover
Baltimore is legit good
8-5 in this stretch would be tremendous
----------
Then we hit a bundle of games against Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Washington where we need to make a lot of hay (plus a huge series vs. Miami)

Drawing a blank on what happened last time the Padres were in town.

Suarez hasn't even pitched for them yet this year, due to injury

5 k’s in 2innings. This offense way overmatched by good pitching

Back to needing a 5th starter
and a less crappy offense

I think the Phillies were swept to start the second half last year against the Cubs.

Offense picking up right where it left off before the allstar break.
