This is not a serious team.

Castellanos fucks up at the plate then shits the best in the field.

Heads needs to bw taken out of asses if they're gonna do anything substantial.

They may be 3-5 games out by the trade deadline if any of the other teams get their act together. They could easily be at 8 losses in a row by Weds as I expect the Orioles to sweep them

It's a shame for Wheeler; the defense has failed him repeatedly this season.

Offense is just garbage

Maybe they shouldn't piss away any prospects to try to fix this sinking ship.

At this point, there isn’t much that fix this sinking ship

The lack of any discipline at the plate along with such shitty defense on the OF corners, substandard defense up the middle with Turner and Stott is difficult to overcome.

Marsh is mediocre at best too - screws up too many plays

Plus, JT is declining defensively

Lots of bad trends

Signs were there last season, but were covered up by going on that hot streak on way to World Series. Off-season didn’t really address the long term problems with roster, and the moves that looked good (Turner) backfired

Going to be sad when the Padres pass the Phillies within 2 weeks

Ultimately the garbage D won't be why they lost- hard to win when you get 2 hit again

I was very down on this team last Sept and was very negative about their playoff chances. Being that they lost 10 out of 13 at in mid/late Sept, I wasn't that far off base, just wasn't expecting Milwaukee to falter so badly. Regardless, as you said, they got on that hot steak. That is why I gave them the benefit of the doubt so far this season

However even when they were winning, in June/July, I continued to see worrying signs with this offense and now it has gotten far worse

I was lukewarm on the Turner signing. Never thought he'd be this bad, but didn't think that he would be a stud either

A truly pathetic performance.

Where are the batteries?
