No mgr is going to pull a player in a tie game. Also, as marginal as he is, they have no one on the bench who can hit eitherVegas Eagle Fan wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 1:30 amI'm willing to give Dominguez some time to work it out especially on how effective he was last year. Thomson should have pulled him sooner and should have pulled Schwarber for late inning defense. If Scwarber could defend we would have been out of the inning.

Too many of these players try to hit home runs instead of just going with the pitch

I’m not sure what Harper or Castellanos thought they were swinging at.
Wheeler pitches a gem and this offense shits the bed again.

When do they face some more crappy teams so that the media can run with their "offense is back" BS again?

The HRs are fun when they happen but they’re not frequent enough to justify all of his other deficiencies. Trade him if you can but don’t have him in the field ever again. If he can’t DH, he can’t play.Vegas Eagle Fan wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 1:22 am Schwarber would have to hit over 0.500 for the remainder of the year just to hit 0.200. Should have never been signed.

Phils never hit Gausman, so probably getting shut out tomorrow and we all know that Nola will give up a few HRs

Baseball has a way of exposing your weaknesses. This injury to Harper's arm has stuck us with Schwarber in LF. The NL has the DH and we still can't hide this guy.

Well, I agree with you. The main problem is, Thomson thinking Schwarber is a leadoff hitter, which gives him more attempts of failure, than giving Stott more attempts at success. Sure give the guy who can't run, steal bases, is hitting 0.180s, hits low 0.200s with RISP, because he can walk or hit an occasional HR. Personally, when Marsh and/or Pache returns, Schwarber would ride the bench and I would use him only as a pinch hitter. After the season I would either release him or try to trade him before the trade deadline. Schwarber is not a good player anymore.Skyjack wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 1:43 amThe HRs are fun when they happen but they’re not frequent enough to justify all of his other deficiencies.
