I won't complain - they won the series

Lorenzen is a big concern, whether the 120+ pitches impacted we'll never know, but he may have to go to the bullpen when Suarez returns

OT - Terry Funk R.I.P.

Castellanos is just fucking lost, man.

He's guessing, he's got no impulse control over what he swings at. He's just waving at everything, most of which aren't anywhere near strikes.

That Cobb would shut the Phils down - good call

Another dumb baserunning mistake, this time by Stott. Forgot there were 2 outs..on 3-2 to Bohm, broke back to 2nd on Bohm’s ground ball to left. Had to stop at3rd. Would have scored easily Dumb

Still a very, very good series win.
Phillies are the best of a motley group of wild-card contenders. Cubs might now be the only ones with the momentum to make a run at us for #1.

If they can stay in a comfortable spot in the wild-card standings, I think they can afford to give Nick Nelson some September spot starts. They may not win those games, but conserving arms becomes the greater goal looking ahead.
