2023 Eagles/NFL Predictions

Post by Captain Obvious »

I was looking back at the 2022 predictions and how wrong most of us were. lol.

Considering the Eagles roster is locked with the exception of a few reserve spots open, and none of the starters are playing tonight. Let's hear the predictions for this year...

EAGLES: Well the sky is the limit here coming off last year. Barring any major injuries, they are making another deep run. How deep they take it depends on the intangibles, and by that. I mean special teams which I do think will be hurting a little with Bradley and MacPherson gone. The schedule is tougher, but who is stopping this offense unless someone goes down for a period?

RECORD: 12-5.

NFL Predictions...
AFC:
East: Buffalo
North: Bengals
South: Jaguars
West: Chiefs (All no brainers here IMO)

Wild Cards: Jets, Ravens, Chargers or Broncos (gun to my head, i'll go Chargers)

AFC Championship: Chiefs over Jaguars

NFC:
East: Eagles
North: Lions
South: Saints
West: Seahawks

Wild Cards: Niners, Bears, Cowboys

NFC Championship: Seahawks over Eagles (Yeah I went there. Sorry)

Superbowl: Chiefs over Seahawks.

North: Packers (3 seed)
South: Saints (4 seed)

I've seen a few people thinking that Seattle is a SB contender. I don't see it as Smith is ok, not great

What am I missing?

To be consistent with my usual negativity

Eagles 6-11

As for the NFL - if Mahomes stays healthy, Chiefs win yet another SB

I saw people say this same sentence last year with the Eagles. Hurts is OK not great.

I think Seattle has a better total package than the Niners. They are gonna shock the NFC this year.

Reason I picked the over the Eagles is the typical reverse jinx.

Hurts was in year 3; Smith is in year 11

Time will tell.
