Provides a nice excuse for Phillies coming up short.

Meanwhile, if the season started today our OF is something like Vierling-Moniak-Harper. So we've got that going for us.
I really thought they might go hard after someone in CF....still could I guess, by getting Bryant and then Do a Vierling/Anyone LH to play left and keep costs down. I just dont think you can do a Schwarber in LF and Bryant in CF....not sure that pairing covers enough ground. It is a fucking shame that none of these LH hitting draft picks have developed. I still hold a small hope that Moniak can be helped out by Long. A moniak/Vierling would ok by me....provided the Phillies Spent the money somewhere else.

Moniak and Haseley are both busts. If the Phillies could throw them into a trade somewhere, that would be great. I agree that it is a shame they didn't work out. Considering how high they were drafted, it is reasonable to expect at least one of them becoming at least a solid everyday player, if not a star.

It’s as if Kingery has disappeared off the face of the earth.
.His story is perhaps the most amazing fall from Grace in my over 65 years of following this team...
Anyone on here seen his name even mentioned in any press release since mid-summer?
Siberia by Putin?

Other then he is recovering from shoulder surgery.....But believe you me, if he can be about or a little better then he was in 2019, I would love for him to be our 2nd baseman in 2023...they are paying him, my as well play...remember, despite being played all over the damn place, he hit 58 extra base hits and had a 2.6 WAR.

I will agree with you on Hasely...he probably could have hit for decent average...maybe, but his SLG, is way below average for a guy built like he is. Now I still think Moniak who is still 23, has a chance to at the very least be a platoon LF/CFer. He is a guy that should get lots of extra bases...Remeber, part of the Phils organizational issues is the lack of development...perhaps Kevin Long can help him like he helped Schwarber.

The Phillies are due for an offensive surprise from their farm system.

The Schwarber/Bryant combo still works just fine in a lot of other ways, if they bring in a cheap glove guy for CF. You could have a lot of flexibility with Bryant/Bohm/Schwarber at 3B/LF/DH. With Bryant getting some starts in CF when you want to maximize the offense.

I probably shouldn't bring this name up because of the PTSD, but there was Domonic Brown. What a swing that guy had.

For anyone who said that players not getting vaxxed was a valid reason for them to not do anything at the deadline, clearly they have no problem bringing more of these idiots in to play for them so that's not a valid reason.
