Can demote Kerkling/Sanchez to create the spots

I'd be very surprised if Wilson was on the roster

If we assume 4 bench players

Sosa
Stubbs
Cave
Pache
Sanchez and Kerkling should definately be on that roster. Take off Lorenzon.

I'm OK with Kimbrel in the 7th, but thats it right now.
They will be on the WC roster. I was just referring to this weekend. They need to eat some inning and they have the options to be temporarily demoted

My apologies.

Yeah I would think you would have Hall, Wilson, Clements get some playing time to keep them loose despite being the "ready" camp.

Would be really nice to get a Diamondbacks loss and either a Cubs or Marlins win today

Sadly they have so few options

Matt Winkelman
@Matt_Winkelman

Jake Cave in September 5-38 4 Walks 19 Strikeouts
Cristian Pache in September 2-25 6 Walks 11 Strikeouts 3 Caught Stealings (so probably best he doesn’t run either)

If the Phillies play the Marlins in the WC round, their rotation will likely be:

Game 1: LHP Jesús Luzardo
Game 2: LHP Braxton Garrett
Game 3: RHP Edward Cabrera

Got to be honest, given the Phillies history against the Marlins, they give me great concern in a short series

Best of 3 is going to be a crapshoot no matter who you play. Everything went right for the Phils in the 9th inning of game 1 - and that led them to victory. Hesley doesn't struggle with command or Segura's hit doesn't squeak through and maybe the Phils get swept

Facing Gallen/Kelly in games 2/3 would be a challenge too

Last year road teams won 3 of the 4

Need to get good pitching and some clutch hitting

One of the things that worry me is how poor Stott, Marsh & Bohm have looked of late. Need some of them to got hot

Marlins will not be finishing that Mets game

So, the Phils will only play the Dbacks if AZ wins today and the Marlins lose. Otherwise, it is the Marlins

Since Houston will be trying to win as the division is not decided, expect the Marlins to be the opponent.

The Marlins have given us fits and are set up very well with two left-handers against us. (and 4 lefties in their bullpen!)
That said, we're not going anywhere this October if we don't hit lefties, so we may as well start right off the bat.

We knew going in that our RH bats and bullpen would tell the tale of October.
