He got an epidural yesterday which will limit him on Sunday. Worst case is he misses one game.

Looks like Covey who has played very well so far will miss Sunday. The back up return guy is Zaccheaus.

After watching the Bears carve up Washington through the air last night I was wondering what might be going on with the Eagle's pass plays. Fields missed some wide open receivers but also connected on a good amount too. I'm wondering, is it the play calling,, are our receivers not getting open, is Hurts not seeing them, or is he just holding the ball too long? I do think he zones in on one receiver too much and instead of stepping up into the pocket he tends to back peddle too much which destroys the timing of the routes. He seemed so much more fluid and in sync last year compared to this year. Needs to get back to that before the schedule becomes harder.

It's the play calling, it's the routes being called vs the defenses being played. I'm watching offenses use motion and misdirection to create space that the Eagles' WRs and TEs aren't seeing. Johnson is calling plays that aren't as creative as what Steichen was calling last year. The only motion being used is to identify man or zone, it's not to get a man open or to manipulate the defense. The Eagles are winning battles because of talent, not scheme. Incorporating both would help a great deal.

I am not optimistic about this game - I see the Rams WRs torching the D.

Unless the offense has a great game (and obviously they have the ability to do so), I think that they lose. Can't keep winning games because a receiver catches the ball inches out of bounds

Be a good game to control the clock running the ball and limit their possessions

If they rush four and play off coverage giving Stafford time, he's gonna carve them up underneath on catch and runs on stop routes, slants and crosses.

The Bears showed what tighter coverage on the outside does to a QB. They backed off and played soft in the 2nd half and it almost cost them the game as it did the week before.
