This is the Quez effect. Jalen doesn't trust him so he's not looking for his routes.

No. He's not.
There is too much push up the middle, he can't step up. If he waits, he gets closed in from the back side. He's escaping before they end gets beyond him.

Also the red zone playcalling is terrible.
Brian Johnson just has no feel for it.
