Sunday will be harder the Braves than Phillies, just sitting around.

Fried only made one start against us this year and did pretty well, but also hasn't pitched since Sept. 21.

Braves saw a lot of Wheeler this year: 3 starts and a 3.23 ERA vs. them. So figure Phillies need 5+ on Monday, gotta jump on Fried.

Whatever happens, the Braves must win a game in Philadelphia.

I still don't like the idea of the teams with the best records #Braves #Orioles #Dodgers etc having to sit 5 days before playing their first playoff game. And with 7 of the 8 wildcard series being sweeps the last 2 years perhaps that should be just 1 elimination game instead like it used to be.

I still don't like the idea of the teams with the best records #Braves #Orioles #Dodgers etc having to sit 5 days before playing their first playoff game. And with 7 of the 8 wildcard series being sweeps the last 2 years perhaps that should be just 1 elimination game instead like it used to be.

Astros seem to have no problem the past 2 years.

It’s unfair to the #Braves to even have to play the Phillies. They beat Philly by 14 games in the NL East in a 162 game season. Why should they have to play Philly in a best of 5 series? MLB Wildcard is unfair to division champs.

But if the schedule was different. Ranger Suarez is still in the game when the Braves had him on the ropes in the 4th. The schedule allowed PHI to use the strategy they used. A wild card team shouldn't br awarded that

Agreed. They should have been allowed to play the Rockies in the first round....

I don't disagree that this year's bullpen is deeper -- but Alvarado/Dominguez/Eflin were one of the main reasons we were 2 games from being World Champions last season.

Then do away with wildcards and go back to 1990.

The only modification I would make- LDS should be 7 games in the series. That way, the rusty top team gets more opportunity to right the ship.
