Looks like Phillies' Sam Fuld is among the top candidates for Red Sox's Chief of Baseball Operations job.

Impossible to know how to divvy up the credit for the past few years' moves between Dombrowski & Fuld.

Phillies' 3 current assistant GMs:

Anirudh Kilambi, a top analytics guy who had big success with Rays before coming here.

Ned Rice: "Rice has helped map out strategy of roster management, overseen the research and development department and assisted in player contracts and negotiations, transactions, salary arbitration and rules compliance with the Phillies."

Jorge Velandia: he is the highest-ranking MLB executive who was born in Venezuela.

Also in the front office is Howie Kendrick, who is currently a special assistant, which tends to be a learn-the-ropes role before becoming an assistant GM

The Marlins' Ng turned down staying with the Fish. Rumor is that she has another job lined up to take instead; probably the RSox gig.

Crazy that the Dodgers once had both Seager and Turner and didn't feel the urgency to keep either.

Brewers trade Mark Canha & his $11.5M club option for 2024 to the Tigers for a minor-league reliever.

Canha had an .800 OPS in his 50 games with Milwaukee, which already lacks depth on offense.

It appears that Milwaukee may be viewing 2024 as more of a retooling year.

Giants fans less than thrilled that Conforto has opted into his $18M player option for 2024, following his .718 OPS season
