The Phillies' 2023-2024 Offseason
Fire Thomson.
Trade Castellanos.
Let Nola walk.

Agree on all three.
One of the big questions I have is what do they do with Hoskins? Will they attempt to resign him?

Arizona decided Harper and Schwarber would not beat them.
Topper continued to let Marte beat you.

Anyways you can’t bring Thomson back.
Your manager can’t be so rigid in a series like this.
Otherwise why have a manager?

Yeah...
More I think about it. Topper should be fired. There were no adjustments in the postseason.
Game 3 was his fault to a point. Game 4 definately was on Topper.
Hoskins is gone. They have their first baseman.
Nola is gone. They aren't paying him what he wants.
First things first... Get some Damn bench help!!! Like I said last night. Your best bench option was Jake Cave?
I don't think you can trade Shwarber or Castellanos cause of their contracts unless you're getting that contract back in return.
They have decisions to make in the outfield.
I would certainly offer Wheeler a three year extension.

Funny how fast people have turned on Thomson. He's a good manager. Would you want Girardi back? How about Kapler? Give me a break. They stopped hitting. That's why they lost. That's baseball.

Yeah, they stopped hitting, and the manager did absolutely NOTHING to try to get them back on track. No adjustments, minor lineup switches, nothing.

While you shouldn't bring your shit out in the public, he has every right to be upset with him.awfulstack wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 1:55 pm Taijuan Walker liking tweets criticizing Topper. Nasty work

part of it is on the players yes but maybe there is no game 6 or 7 choke job if adjustments were made earlier.Michael Jack wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 3:58 pm Funny how fast people have turned on Thomson.
