I doubt Cutch would cost that much
The Goldschmidt trade is not happening - would cost too much

Cutch makes no sense unless you're sure Harper works at 1B.
Also, he played 50 games in OF last year and only 8 this year.
He takes you from "godawful" to "slightly below average" in LF with his nearly 37-year-old legs.

What are the other OF options that will be out there? Talking heads throwing out Adam Duvall & Justin Turner
Problem is with 3 WCs less teams are sellers

Turner would be really costly, I think. Maybe as much as Goldschmidt
Like I said, I'm not really worried about an OF.
The priority must be a starting pitcher.
Maybe we could get Rich Hill off the Pirates -- a guy we should have considered in the first place.

Given the logjam of teams they must pass, I could see the Pirates, Cubs, Padres, Mets all being sellers (plus Cardinals of course)

The good news is that there are a TON of relievers available.
Phillies should be able to add 1 or 2 for depth without surrendering much.
Starting pitching gets trickier. We just have so little to trade. I don't the QUALITY of the SP changes the equation much for this team. They just need a guy who can pitch innings and keep us from killing the bullpen, especially if someone goes down for 2 weeks.
Still somewhat interested in a Pham-type bat, though I don't know how that works with roster construction

Whether the Padres/Mets are buyers or sellers will have a big impact.

Yep.
White Sox probably the other big X factor.
