It is sort of making the data say what you want. But over the past two seasons, 173 hitters have at least 190 PAs vs LHPs. Rodolfo Castro is 19th in OPS among them, right behind Will Smith and just ahead of Nolan Arenado. The only Phillies hitter better is Alec Bohm (9th)

The key here is Thomson. He absolutely cannot allow Castro to face a right-hander in anything that remotely approaches an important at-bat.
