Dek Prescott has a cap hit of $59 million -- you read that right -- for 2024.
Cowboys are screwed.
-- Probably untradeable with that cap hit
-- If they don't extend him, they basically punt on 2024 because they will lose their key free agents due to being in Cap Hell
-- Only solution is to stick with Prescott and extend him in order to stretch the cap hit over multiple future years.
This was their year, and they fell behind 27-0 at home in their first playoff game.

Yep , I am hearing there is a 60 million cap hit if they were to let Dek Prescott go. Not sure who to blame this lost of the Cowboys on. Prescott threw 2 pick sixes but the defense also gave up a lot of points.Christopher wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 3:19 pm Dek Prescott has a cap hit of $59 million -- you read that right -- for 2024.

Josh Allen has to be the worst flopper in the history of QB's trying to draw flags. Just watched a play where he took off, saw the defender coming at him, waited until he was too close to stop himself, then threw himself to the ground to get hit and then jumped up screaming and flailing his arms until the ref threw the flag. That kind of crap needs to start getting called out with unsportsmanlike penalties. He's too good of a QB for this kind of petty bullshit.

Dallas Cowboys are retaining McCarthy.
That almost certainly means they're going to sign Prescott to a major extension, too, to save their cap situation.

Chiefs sign DL Chris Jones to massive five-year extension with $95 million guaranteed.

They had to pay him, unfortunately they may lose other good players.

Looks like Goff turned out to be the better pick over Carsen Wentz in the long term. Well deserved
contract for Goff.
