10 runs on an 0-for-3 night for Harper, with Turner still out.

At some point, Harper is going to carry this team for 5-6 weeks, per usual (hopefully October)

Respectfully, you don't DFA a lefty who can throw 99 and whose worst lapses come in low-leverage situations.

In his three outings before this he pitched a combined 2-2/3 scoreless innings, including a 1-2-3 10th with two strikeouts and a ghost runner on second in a win over Washington. Today, his crime was giving up a HR to World Series MVP Seager.

They can get to the point where he's simultaneously the next-to-last guy out of the pen AND has good value

Yes. You do.

I don't care about 99mph.

He can't throw strikes.
His 99 is hittable in the zone.
He is a disaster.

DFA Soto.
