The 2025 SB Champ Philadelphia Eagles' Off-Season

Post by BelmontShore »

This is gonna be fun.

2nd youngest NFL roster
1st youngest NFL defense
$25m in cap space
Graham, Slay & Bradberry($40m) leaving
7 draft picks
Pending FAs wanna be Eagles, will take lesser deals to chase a ring.

Williams, Sweat, Baun.

I don't see Sweat or Baun returning.

Howie should empty the vault for Baun. He literally became the anchor of this defense.

It is going to take at least 12 million to keep Baun. Howie may decide to go with Trotter, Burk and Dean at LB and let Baun go.

we all know their history with LBs but they signed White for 7.5MM/1 year. Surely Baun is worth 12MM who could be a perennial DPOY candidate.

Baun stays.

He will take slightly less to stay especially because he doesn't have this opportunity without Fangio seeing his potential and Roseman signing him.

I would love Becton and Williams to stay. Becton might also stay for less out of loyalty.

Williams is an unsung hero and they could look to replace him with the 32md pick.

With Slay, Bradberry and likely, Graham being gone, that does create some cap space for Roseman to work his magic along with Lurie's we checkbook.

I would think 12 million is a reasonable offer also since in 5 man fronts he plays some DE. Problem is some team could come in and offer
15 or more million per year.

Baun and Sweat should be back. They each have four void years on their contracts, so it makes the most CAP sense to extend both.

Milt plays a premium position and he is going to cost, but knowing how much Eagles value inside Dline, I expect them to retain him as well. It's doubtful JD is in their long-term plans, and that leaves just Carter and Ojomo who are both on rookie contracts. There is definitely money to be allocated there.

Becton is likely gone. Already have 3 of the highest paid players at their position along the Oline.

Eagles hire Kevin Patullo as the next new OC for Hurts.

At least there's some measure of continuity with no new terminology and playbook to learn. I would imagine that Sirianni and Patullo share playcalling but that said, I'd like to see more of Hurts calling plays at the LOS. That is when the offense was at its best.
